Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always loved snow. I can still hear my mother’s voice calling out for me to grab a scarf or a warmer pair of gloves as I ran out into the snow blanketed streets.
Today was the First Snow Fall of the Season! I live in the DC suburbs where it only snows a few times a year. It isn’t even Thanksgiving yet so this is early and somewhat odd. You will not hear any complaints from me!
J had a one hour delay at school but G was on time. It was nice to have a few extra minutes together before they headed to school. We parked and walked G in. On our way, we paused and took a moment to make snowballs. The boys and I competed to see who could throw their snowball the furthest. I won, NBD😂. Seeing as G is only six it’s to be expected lol.
I’m heading to Home Depot for salt. I’m betting, I’m going to be the happiest person in line!
Bundle up everyone. Remember to slow down and enjoy these moments. Like most things in life, the weather’s affect on us is a matter of perspective. Yea, shoveling sucks but who doesn’t love a good snowball fight or an excuse to have a cup of cocoa?
Thanks for stopping by! Is it snowing where you live? If you post pictures let me know, I’d love to see them! Tag me on Instagram @theawkwarddomestic!
